Joe Dillett (the “Ask Joe” guy): (Illinois)
Joe retired from his full-time carving business in January 2008. He now uses this experience of 38 years in the carving business and his formal art training to teach carving to disabled veterans and write the Ask Joe column for Carving Magazine. He continues to carve part-time, his current project being the altar, pulpit and Stations of the Cross for a new church in Illinois. He is currently helping his students, who finished his 4-year apprenticeship program, to make their carving businesses successful.
